Jella Ariane vd Bucxtale
The dam is a top mare, Jella Ariane vd Bucxtale, herself by another world-famous stallion, For Pleasure. She is full sister to Scott Brash’s 1.60 horse Hello Forever, and to the 1.60 stallion Eurocommerce Vaillant
Hello Forever is a prolific winner on the Global Champions Tour, with wins including the American Invitational at LGCT Miami, the Grand Prix of Cannes (CSI5*), taking second at the CSI5* grand prix, GCCT, Shanghai, winning two 5* classes at LGCT Mexico, and winning a CSI5* at the LGCT final in Doha, worth US$153,000. Hello Forever was the top world show jumping federation money winner in 2017
Eurocommerce Vaillant proved his qualities at his KWPN grading where he finished reserve champion out of a group of 19 stallions awarded 8.5 for aptitude and 9 for scope
For Pleasure was labelled the Hanoverian sire of the century and combined suppleness, scope and attitude, all reliably passed on to his foals. He retired at the age of 20, winning his last ever class, the Leipzig World Cup qualifier, and having been sound for all his career before sustaining a tendon injury at 19
His career was exceptional. He was on four gold-medal-winning teams for Germany, two Olympic Games (Atlanta ’96 and Sydney 2000 where he finished 4th individually), two European Championships Hickstead in 1999 (where he finished 5th individually) and Donauschingen in 2003 where he won bronze, the first ever individual medal for Marcus Ehning. He also won gold and silver medals at the German National Championships and his career winnings totalled over €1.8million
His offspring speak for themselves – he has produced more than 80 grand prix horses with 18 of those licensed stallions. A total of 70 sons of For Pleasure sons have been approved by various studbooks. His well-known offspring include Flora de Mariposa, Fit for Fun, Forth of Lorne, Forsyth, For Sale 6, Another Pleasure and Hello Forever.
